All special orders must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance unless Okayed by the Queen of Tarts (aka Haika). Some flavors may require more time, so please ask.

Haika’s special occasion cakes are 4 layers tall with 3 layers of filling. Smaller cakes are available by request. Talk to a cake consultant to help with your selection.

Let’s discuss flavors

Are you tired of Chocolate, Vanilla and Marble?  So are we!! At Haika’s Kitchen we believe your cake should be flavored exactly the way you want it. So Cake Flavors include but are not limited to: Chocolate, White chocolate, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Almond, Peanut Butter, Banana, Spice, Coconut, Lemon, Orange, Carrot, and Applesauce
Filling (the stuff that goes between the layers of the cake) can also be flavored. Available flavors include: Passion fruit, Mango, Strawberry, Raspberry, Orange, Lemon, Meyer Lemon, Key Lime, Chocolate, White chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Banana, Dulce De Leche, Coconut, Peanut Butter, Maple, Cream Cheese, Espresso Mocha Frosting or icing is real butter cream. Our Butter cream is light, Silky, and not too sweet. We can add any flavor you desire to compliment your cake or no flavor at all to allow the cake and filling to shine.

When we say we will attempt to work any flavor into your cake we mean it – We recently made a Ginger cake with lemon filling and green tea butter cream. We love to be challenged, so allow your imagination to run wild!

Cake Decorating Guide

We offer three levels of cake decorating:

Undecorated: Cake is covered in one color of butter cream, finished with smooth or grooved finish, while the edges and the base are piped or scalloped. Basic writing such as “Happy Birthday” is included.

Standard decorating: These are standard decorating themes that we can apply in a variety of colors. Multi colored butter cream, geometric patterns, basic symbols and less complicated artwork. Butter cream flower motifs including our seasonal garden style theme are in this category.

Custom Decorating: Anything you want. This category includes all fondant covered cakes, any gum paste additions, and carved cakes. You want your cake shaped like your company logo? Okay. You want us to get a coyote, Mercedes and guitar worked onto the top of a cake? Okay. (Yes, that was a real order). You want an “adult” cake? Okay. Let your imagination run wild and we will do our best to accommodate you.

During the summer months Haika’s Kitchen turns its attention to the cornucopia of summer fruit and produce available locally. Fruit pies, dumplings, tarts, quick bread and other sweet products all benefit from fruits available fresh and locally. Our savory Brioche, Croissant gadgets and soups feature locally harvested vegetables.

As part of our commitment to local business and fresh ingredients Haika’s Kitchen has gone mobile for the summer and early fall. We pack our products and take them to you at outdoor producer markets and special events around the area. We can be found at the following locations:
